Nokia 1100 Reimagined: Iconic Phone Could Return with 4G, Torch, WhatsApp & Weeks-Long Battery Life

The legendary Nokia 1100, once the world’s best-selling mobile phone, is reportedly making a comeback in 2025 with a modern makeover. Designed for durability and simplicity, the reimagined Nokia 1100 will retain the essence of the original classic keypad, rugged build, and ultra-long battery life while adding 4G connectivity, basic smart features, and modern user needs like WhatsApp and UPI support.

Old-School Looks with New-Age Connectivity

The new Nokia 1100 is expected to keep its compact form factor, iconic D-pad navigation, and rubber-key keypad, but with slight refinements in shape and display. It will likely feature a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, dual SIM support, FM Radio, MP3 player, and of course, the legendary torchlight on top a feature that made it a household favorite. The addition of 4G VoLTE support will allow users to make HD voice calls and use data services without needing a smartphone.

KaiOS or S30+ with Smart App Access

The software is expected to be based on KaiOS or S30+, enabling limited smart functionalities like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and even UPI apps like Paytm or JioPay (region-dependent). It will not be a smartphone, but a smart feature phone designed for seniors, backup users, or those who want a digital detox without losing essential connectivity.

Battery Life That Lasts for Days – Or Weeks

One of the biggest highlights will be its ultra-long battery life, powered by a 1000–1500mAh removable battery. With basic usage, the phone is expected to last 10–20 days on a single charge, making it the ideal companion for travel, remote work, or minimal phone usage. USB Type-C charging support may also be added for convenience.

Expected Launch & Availability

The new Nokia 1100 could launch globally in late 2025, with India, Africa, and Southeast Asia as primary markets. Expected to be priced under ₹2,500, it will cater to budget buyers, feature phone loyalists, and nostalgia lovers looking for reliability and simplicity.
