Reliance Jio is all set to disrupt the market again with the launch of its Jio 5G Phone, likely to be named Jio Bharat 5G. This ultra-affordable smartphone aims to bring true 5G connectivity to every Indian, especially rural and first-time users. With an expected price under ₹9,000, it will be the cheapest 5G smartphone in India, offering reliable specs, clean software, and deep Jio ecosystem integration.

Large Display with Sleek Design for Daily Use

The Jio 5G Phone is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a modern design, minimal bezels, and a waterdrop notch. Despite its low price, the design will follow modern smartphone aesthetics and may offer scratch-resistant glass, plastic unibody build, and a comfortable in-hand feel. Jio might launch it in blue and black colors with a matte finish.

Snapdragon or UNISOC Chipset with Android OS

The phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 480+, Snapdragon 695, or UNISOC T760 5G chipset, offering reliable performance with full 5G support (both SA and NSA bands). It may come with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage, expandable via microSD. The Jio 5G Phone will run a near-stock Android 13 or Android Go Edition, promising a clean experience with access to the Google Play Store and Jio apps.

Dual Cameras & Long Battery Life

The Jio 5G smartphone could pack a 13MP dual rear camera setup for basic photography and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It’s likely to house a 5000mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging, enough for 1.5 to 2 days of regular usage. Features like USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio may also be included for added practicality.

Expected Price & Launch Timeline in India

The Jio 5G Phone is expected to launch around Diwali 2025, priced between ₹7,999 and ₹8,999, making it the most affordable 5G phone in the country. Jio will likely bundle it with special 5G recharge offers, access to JioTV, JioCinema, JioCloud, and other digital services. It will directly challenge models like Lava Blaze 5G, Redmi 13C 5G, and Samsung Galaxy M14 in the entry-level segment.
